Bachelor of Audio

Bachelor of Audio & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) is a three-year course. This program deals with studying the science of the normal and abnormal auditory and speech-language systems. In addition, students are trained in the identification and differential diagnosis of auditory and speech-language disorders.

Therefore, this course is apt for students who wish to pursue their Audiology, Speech Pathology, or other medicine-associated fields. Speech and Language Pathology deals with the differential aspects of voice, speech, language, and swallowing. Speech disorders consist of voice disorders, speech sound disorders, stuttering, speech and language problems associated with hearing impairment, etc.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Audio & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP)

1. A class 12 passes out in the science stream with central, state or a recognised board in India.

2. A minimum of 55% aggregate in class 12 or equivalent exam.

3. In the case where Grade points are not awarded only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for the General/OBC/UPS category and 50% marks for SC/ST/DAC category.

Admission Process

1. Colleges publish notice of admission on their website from a period of June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.

2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark as the cut-off mark.

3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.

4. There are a variety of exams conducted for admission to colleges providing this course- IPU CET, NEET, JAM, etc.

5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
